Where to go in March?

Have you ever noticed how different cities start looking when spring comes? Even in March, when it's still quite chilling, you can already smell the ground, released from snow, and the sun, going down definitely later than before, is gradually getting warmer.

The most unpredictable and undoubtedly the most welcome month transforms Minsk as well. Streets are getting flooded not only by streamlets - the last witnesses of snow - but by happy and a little bit surprised people, who have already managed to change their winter clothes on lighter ones, even if it's  still below zero.  Minsk becomes bright, colorful and smiling. It's not as bustling and diverse as it's in summer, but it's not silent anymore.

Festival of opera and ballet "Evenings of the Bolshoi Theatre at the  Radziwill castle" will be held in Nyasvizh from 21 to 23 June. Almost immidiatelyy after nn June 28 the other art-fest "Ursula Radziwill' Theater" will take place.

In the middle of the XVIII century, the Princess Urszula Radziwill founded a professional theater in her residence Nyasvizh, in which the audience watched opera and ballet performances. After almost three centuries the castle of Nyasvizh was chosen for a unique theater project.

The Garden of Stones in Minsk

There is one place on the outskirts of Minsk that is not very famous even among Minsk residents but it is definitely a must-see. This place is the Museum of Boulders in the Uruchie district. More than 2 thousand boulders were brought to one place in the mid-1980s and now it is one of two museums of such kind in Europe. Lithuania has a similar “stone garden” but it is twice smaller and doesn’t have a systematic approach. So one can even say that Minsk Boulders Museum is unique. It is also an unusual park recreation area.
